The 3 Peaks Challenge - Itinerary

Friday 14th June

We will depart Bath around 7am and travel by minibus all the way north to Fort William and our hostel - home for the night.

We'll drop our bags at the hostel, freshen up and head out for a big feed. We'll have a briefing about the weekend, including all safety aspects. It'll be an early night ready for the excitement of the challenge ahead!

Saturday 15th June

After a hearty breakfast and group briefing, the challenge will begin at 11am. Your first summit will be the highest of the entire trip - the mighty Ben Nevis, Scotland’s highest peak.

The well-worn path heading to Ben Nevis' summit

The ascent is long but steady, zig-zagging all the way to the highest peak in the United Kingdom. With fingers firmly crossed, you'll enjoy stunning views and a chance to take in the breathtaking surroundings before starting your descent.

You'll be welcomed back to the foot of the mountain with food and drinks and plenty of high-5's!

Peak #1: tick. Now we bundle into the bus for the journey south to the Lake District.

Your climb of Peak #2, Scafell, the highest in England begins at Wasdale Head. You'll head through tranquil countryside towards the summit, the whole round trip taking approximately 4 - 5 hours.

Stunning Lake District views like this will distract from the grind!

With the two hardest peaks under your belt, it's time to hop back into the bus and make our way over to our final peak – Mount Snowdon!

Sunday 16th June

After catching some zzz’s in the van you will start your trek to the last summit nice and early from Pen-Y-Pass. You'll ascend Snowdon via the scenic Pyg Track, with fantastic views of the ridge of Crib Goch and Snowdon’s largest lake – Llyn Llydaw. Upon reaching the summit (again weather permitting) you will be rewarded with spectacular views across Snowdonia stretching as far as the eye can see.

The descent retraces your steps to return to our minibus by 11am.

Snowdon - the final peak on your epic challenge

After your final descent, there will be time for drinks, food, a cooling swim and celebrations with a hearty lunch at Llanberis. Once you've settled into your post-adventure carb-coma, sit back, relax and enjoy a snooze as we head back to Bath! We'll arrive home late Sunday afternoon.
